Chances are, most professional tennis players rang in 2014 before America even had lunch on New Year's Eve. With tournaments this week in Australia, New Zealand, India and Qatar, players stayed up past their typical bedtimes to welcome the new year (that is, if their competitive schedule allowed). You can't party too hard when you have to train early on New Year's Day. Such is the life of a tennis pro.

From Rafael Nadal to Andy Murray, from Serena Williams to Maria Sharapova, the players celebrated and sent their well-wishes upon the arrival of 2014:

Serena Williams: The WTA's No. 1 capped off her 2013 with a win (a 6-4, 6-4 defeat of Andrea Petkovic at the Brisbane International) and then struggled to fight off her jet lag.
