Australian Open

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Day 4 at the Australian Open didn't lack for storylines or drama.

Extreme heat and lightning kept the weather front and center. Maria Sharapova narrowly escaped. Juan Martin del Potro wasn't as unfortunate, losing a late-night five-setter to Roberto Bautista Agut. Andy Murray closed out his victory by winning 23 consecutive points. Nick Kyrgios, 18, made quite an impression in a five-set loss to Benoit Paire. And Donald Young notched a career-best result here with a second-round upset of No. 24 Andreas Seppi.

Here are some of our favorite photos from Day 4.
