Video: Venus Williams shows off speed, touch in first-round win at Qatar Open

If you're going to hit a drop shot against Venus Williams, it better be pretty darn good. Then again, as Williams showed in her 6-2, 6-2 win over No. 104 Petra Martic in the first round of the Qatar Open on Monday, even a really good drop shot won't guarantee you anything.
Early in the second set, as Williams retreated behind the baseline, Martic attempted a backhand drop shot. Williams sprinted forward, reached the ball in six strides and softly scooped it over the net for a winner. To hit that light of a shot with all your momentum flying forward is an impressive combination of skill and agility.
