INDIAN WELLS, Calif. -- The guy has done it again. Just a few games into Grigor Dimitrov's much-anticipated third-round match against Ernests Gulbis at the BNP Paribas Open, tennis' current "Hot Shot Master" threw down one to remember.

Dimitrov had already tried an ill-fated 'tweener on the second point of the match, but he delivered theatrics a few points later with a defensive behind-the-back half-volley from the baseline. He followed up with a scrambling forehand winner down the line.

With things tightening up in the third set, a Gulbis racket spectacular was inevitable:

All of Dimitrov's fireworks weren't enough, though. Gulbis broke Dimitrov in the 11th game of the final set and consolidated to win 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. The pair have played three times in the last six weeks, with Gulbis winning twice. He'll face Roberto Bautista Agut in the fourth round.
