Argentina-Israel Davis Cup tie moved from Tel Aviv to Florida

Due to continued fighting between Israel and Hamas, the Israel-Argentina Davis Cup tie scheduled to be played next month in Tel Aviv has been moved to Sunrise, Fla., the International Tennis Federation announced Friday.

Due to continued fighting between Israel and Hamas, the Israel-Argentina Davis Cup tie scheduled to be played next month in Tel Aviv has been moved to Sunrise, Fla., the International Tennis Federation announced Friday

The Israel Tennis Association proposed the tie be held at the Sunrise Tennis Club from September 12-14. The ITF ruled last week that Israel could not host the tie as originally planned.

The two countries have not met in the Davis Cup in 24 years, and Argentina holds a 2-0 record in the matchup.
