U.S. Open 2014 schedule: Day 10 TV coverage, live stream, matches

On Wednesday, No. 1 seeded Novak Djokovic will play in his 22nd Grand Slam quarterfinal in a row. Top-seeded Serena Williams will play in just her first Grand Slam quarterfinal of the year.

This year, Williams has lost in the fourth round of the Australian Open, the second round of the French Open and the third round at Wimbledon.

Serena Williams (1) vs. FlaviaPennetta (11)

Williams is playing in her first Grand Slam quarterfinal since she won the U.S. Open last year. To get past the fourth round, she beat 50th-ranked Kaia Kanepi of Estonia in straight sets.​ Williams has not dropped a set during this year's U.S. Open. Williams has won handily against Taylor Townsend (first round), Vania King (second round), and VarvaraLepchenko (third round).

Pennetta, who is ranked No. 11 in the tournament, beat Australia’s Casey Dellacqua in the fourth round, 7-5, 6-2. Pennetta also reached the semifinals of the U.S. Open last year.

Novak Djokovic (1) vs. Andy Murray (8)

Djokovic has not been eliminated before the quarterfinals at a Grand Slam since he lost to Philipp​ Kohlschreiber in the third round at the 2009 French Open. On Monday, he beat the No. 22 Kohlschreiber​ in straight sets. Djokovic​ has not lost a set during the tournament.

Murray, beat No. 9 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 7-5, 7-5, 6-4, on Monday. Murray Murray won the U.S. Open in 2012 and lost in the semifinals last year. This year, Murray reached the semifinal in the French Open. At Wimbledon, he lost to Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinals, marking the first time since 2008 he failed to make it to the event's semifinals.
