Ivo Karlovic, 35, beats Donald Young to win Delray Beach Open

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Ivo Karlovic won the Delray Beach Open on Sunday to become the oldest champion in the 23-year history of the tournament, beating surprise finalist Donald Young 6-3, 6-3.

Six days shy of his 36th birthday, the fourth-seeded Karlovic won his sixth ATP Tour title. The 6-foot-11 Croatian had 13 aces and saved all seven break points he faced.

In five matches, Karlovic never dropped serve, winning 56 service games. In 14 matches this season, he has lost only four games on his serve. He closed out the match with two aces clocked at 142 mph.

Karlovic saved a break point serving at 4-3 in the first set. He double-faulted three times, but also had three aces, including back-to-back serves to win the game.

Bob and Mike Bryan won their 105th doubles title, topping Raven Klaasen of South Africa and Leander Paes of India 6-3, 3-6, 10-6. The 36-year-old twins have played 155 career finals.
