Top-seeded Karolina Pliskova reaches final of Prague Open

PRAGUE (AP) Top-seeded Karolina Pliskova aced her first match point to reach the Prague Open final, beating Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium 6-4, 7-5 on Friday.

It was one of 11 aces for the hard-hitting, 14th-ranked Czech.

Pliskova failed to serve out the match at 5-4 in the second set but Wickmayer double-faulted to drop her serve in the following game.

In her third final of the year, Pliskova will seek her first title of the year, and career fourth, in what will be an all-Czech final.

The unseeded Katerina Siniakova met qualifier Lucie Hradecka in the late semifinal.
