Fifteenth-seeded Kevin Anderson upset No. 3 Andy Murray 7-6(5), 6-3, 6-7(2), 7-6(0) in the fourth round of the U.S. Open on Monday night.

The match lasted four hours and 18 minutes. Anderson recorded 25 aces and 81 winners, compared to 49 winners for Murray.

Anderson will now advance to his first Grand Slam quarterfinals, where he will meet No. 5 Stan Wawrinka. Entering the U.S. Open, Anderson had made the fourth round in five of his last seven Grand Slams, but he had lost each time.
