Jelena Jankovic advances to Guangzhou International final

GUANGZHOU, China (AP) Serbia's Jelena Jankovic came from three points down in the 11th game of the deciding set to break Yanina Wickmayer's serve and advanced to the Guangzhou International final with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 win Friday.

Jankovic also fought off a match point in the 10th game of the final set to help end an eight-match winning streak by Wickmayer. The Belgian player won her first WTA title in more than five years at the Japan Open last week, and won three more matches in Guangzhou this week.

Denisa Allertova of Czech Republic, who upset top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania in straight sets in the quarterfinals, played No. 3 Sara Errani of Italy in the second semifinal later.
