The Latest: Play under way on 8th day of Australian Open
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) The latest from the Australian Open on Monday (all times local):
12:15 a.m. (Tuesday)
Chinese qualifier Zhang Shuai has advanced to the quarterfinals at Melbourne Park after beating a limping Madison Keys 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Zhang had never won a Grand Slam match before this year's Australian Open, entering with a 0-14 record at the majors. She's now into the quarterfinals against another unseeded player, Johanna Konta of Britain.
Zhang said during the match she heard spectators behind her saying ''quarterfinals, quarterfinals'' and ''it makes me very nervous!''
Keys dominated the first set with powerful groundstrokes that Zhang had trouble returning, breaking the Chinese player at love in the opening game.
But she took a medical timeout for treatment on her upper left leg early in the second set and was in obvious pain the rest of the match.

Andy Murray moved to within two matches of the Australian Open final - and another chance for Melbourne Park redemption - when he beat local hope Bernard Tomic 6-4, 6-4, 7-6 (4) in the fourth round.Murray has lost all four finals he's contested at the Australian Open, including last year's championship match to Novak Djokovic.
On Monday, both players had trouble with their serves - there were a combined 10 service breaks, six by Murray.
The Scottish player moved into a 4-2 lead in the tiebreaker and went to match point after an ace and backhand error by Tomic. The Australian saved two match points before returning a serve long to give Murray the win in 2 hours, 30 minutes.

David Ferrer has reached his sixth quarterfinal at the Australian Open, without dropping a set. No. 8-seeded Ferrer beat strong-serving John Isner 6-4, 6-4, 7-5 in their fourth-round match.
After capturing the first two sets, Ferrer broke Isner to go up 6-5 in the third set after the American double-faulted on break point. He then served out the match at love.
Isner has only beaten the Spanish player once in eight meetings, indoors at the Paris Masters in 2011. He's never reached the quarterfinals at Melbourne Park.
Ferrer is a two-time semifinalist at the Australian Open and a finalist at the 2013 French Open.

Johanna Konta's strong run at the Australian Open has continued with a 4-6, 6-4, 8-6 win over Ekaterina Makarova, advancing her to the quarterfinals.
The Sydney-born British player served for the match at 5-4 in the final set but was broken by Makarova.
At 6-6, Konta broke back, then held her serve at love to clinch the match in 3 hours, 4 minutes.
Konta, making her main-draw debut this year after being defeated in qualifying the previous three years, beat Venus Williams in the first round and became the first British player since Jo Durie and Anne Hobbs in 1987 to make it to the fourth round at the Australian Open.
She's now the first British player since Durie in 1983 to advance to the quarterfinals in Australia.

Milos Raonic's five-set win over French Open champion Stan Wawrinka means the only man to have beaten Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open after 2010 is out of the singles draw at Melbourne Park.
Djokovic lost in the quarterfinals to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2010, then won the tournament in 2011, 2012 and 2013. He lost in the quarterfinals to Wawrinka in 2014, then won last year's tournament.
In the span, Djokovic has won 36 of 37 matches at Melbourne Park.

Milos Raonic beat French Open champion Stan Wawrinka 6-4, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
The hard-serving Canadian came into the fourth-rounder winless in four matches against Wawrinka, the 2014 Australian Open champion, and all their results had been close and involving tiebreakers.
Raonic cruised to the first two sets, then watched as Wawrinka attempted to come back from two sets down for the seventh time in his career.
But Raonic broke Wawrinka in the sixth game of the deciding set - when Wawrinka's attempted passing shot went long - giving the Canadian a 4-2 lead.
Raonic held in the next game, clinching it with an ace, and Wawrinka saved a match point in his next service game. Raonic clinched the match in 3 hour, 44 minutes with a winner to the open court at love in the final game.

Gael Monfils had a 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over Andrei Kuznetsov to reach the quarterfinals for the first time in 11 trips to the Australian Open.
The No. 23-seeded Monfils, a semifinalist at the 2008 French Open, delighted the Margaret Court Arena crowd with his lunging, leaping style of play.
He said it hurts sometimes landing on the hard courts as he chases balls other players would leave, adding ''Maybe something snaps in my mind, and I just go for it ... I just fly.''
He will play the winner of the fourth-round match between fourth-seeded Stan Wawrinka and No. 13 Milos Raonic.

Two-time champion Victoria Azarenka is into the quarterfinals for the fourth time in five years after a 6-2, 6-4 win over Barbaro Strycova, the third year in a row the pair have met at Melbourne Park. Azarenka improved her career record against her Czech opponent to 5-0, including a third-round win here last year and a second-round victory in 2014, both in straight sets. Azarenka won her Australian titles in 2012 and 2013.
The 14th-seeded Azarenka will take on No. 7 Angelique Kerber in the quarterfinals. Kerber beat fellow German Annika Beck in straight sets in the preceding match on Rod Laver Arena.

Angelique Kerber has beaten fellow German Annika Beck 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the quarterfinals at Melbourne Park.
Kerber is into the final eight for the first time in nine attempts at the Australian Open and it follows a first-round loss here last year.
The No. 7-seeded Kerber saved a match point in her first-round win over Japan's Misaki Doi, and she thought that was a good omen. Li Na saved a match point in her third-round match at the 2014 Australian Open on the way to the title.

Play is under way in bright sunshine on the eighth day at Melbourne Park which features the final group of fourth-round matches that will determine singles quarterfinalists.
In an all-German match, No. 7-seeded Angelique Kerber is playing Annika Beck in the first match on the main Rod Laver Arena. Two-time champion Victoria Azarenka takes on Barbora Strycova in the following match, with French Open champion Stan Wawrinka set to play Canadian Milos Raonic in the final match of the afternoon.
No. 2-seeded Andy Murray, a four-time finalist at Melbourne Park, plays local hope Bernard Tomic in the opening night match, followed by American Madison Key's match against Chinese qualifier Zhang Shuai.
