Top-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut through to finals of Sofia Open

SOFIA, Bulgaria (AP) Top-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut advanced to the finals of the Garanti Koza Sofia Open by beating Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Bautista Agut won 75 per cent of total service points and Muller did well to save six of seven break points, but after dropping the opener in a tie-break, he was broken in the third game of the second set.

"It is the best start to a season that I ever had," said Bautista Agut. "I had to be focused until the last point. I had a lot of break points, but Gilles was serving really well."

The 18th-ranked Bautista Agut will appear in his second ATP World Tour final of the season, after claiming his third career title less than a month ago in Auckland.
