LONDON (AP) Chris Kermode has been appointed to a second term as head of the ATP, the governing body of men's tennis.

Kermode, who became the ATP's executive chairman and president in 2014, will serve another term through 2019.

Kermode says he looks forward ''to working with the other governing bodies of tennis to continue to protect the integrity of our sport.''

In recent weeks, tennis has been hit by match-fixing allegations and a positive doping test for female star Maria Sharapova.

The ATP says Kermode has ''successfully delivered stable and sustainable outcomes'' for tennis prize money and scheduling. It says prize money on the men's tour will reach $135 million by 2018.
