On this week's episode of the SI Tennis Beyond the Baseline Podcast, Sports Illustrated executive editor and host Jon Wertheim talks with Brad Gilbert.

Wertheim talks with Gilbert about his playing career, where he reached a career-high ranking of No. 4, and his opinion on the current state of tennis. Gilbert talks about how he would coach a player to beat No. 1 Novak Djokovic and how the Serb compares to other top players in other professional sports, such as Steph Curry on the Golden State Warriors, and more. A California native and big sports fan, Gilbert also talks about his beloved Warriors and makes comparisions to tennis.

The pair also discusses how Gilbert makes tennis accessible to the casual sports fan through nicknames and the use of terms popular in other sports.
