Estrella Burgos, Mannarino advance at Nice ATP event

NICE, France (AP) Victor Estrella Burgos used a steadier serve to beat Denis Kudla 6-3, 6-2 in the opening round of the ATP tournament in Nice on Sunday.

Estrella Burgos won 72 percent of his first-serve points, while Kudla managed only 58 percent.

In the other match Sunday, Adrian Mannarino came from behind to beat Robin Haase 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-4.

The clay-court event is a warm up for the French Open that starts in a week.
