Beyond the Baseline Podcast: Paul Annacone from Wimbledon 2016

On this week's episode, Jon Wertheim talks with Paul Annacone about the top storylines from Week One at Wimbledon 2016.

On this week's episode of the SI Tennis Beyond the Baseline Podcast, Sports Illustrated executive editor and host Jon Wertheim talks with Paul Annacone.

Mid-week during the first week at Wimbledon 2016, Wertheim sits down with Tennis Channel commentator and former coach Annacone to discuss the current and upcoming storylines of the tournament. Starting with the biggest headline of Wimbledon so far, Annacone discusses Marcus Willis, his story and his match against Roger Federer. The pair also talks about the scheduling and weather issues during the first few days of the tournament and if the top players are at an advantage during majors, particularly during inclement weather at Slams with roofs, where scheduling can be difficult. Annacone also grades RogerFederer's performance at the tournament so far and shares details about how he assess top players in the early rounds at the majors. He also gives three players to keep an eye on as we head into the middle weekend, reasons why he thinks one of the newcomers will get to a big moment at Wimbledon, either in the final four or final championship match, advice for Caroline Wozniacki, who is struggling to win matches and is out of the top 50 for the first time since 2008, and more.
