Australian Open 2017 Day 6
"I'm not a person who goes out and serves a thousand balls a week. Sometimes I go days and I don't serve at all. I think it's really just natural. I don't do a lot of work specifically on my serve. I do work on my serve, but I don't work on it as much as one would think, because I just think, for me, it's just a really natural stroke."
"I was very happy with I guess the way I was able to assert myself from the very beginning, also tighten up my game a bit as that first set went on, and just maintain my level to the very end. Against someone like Caroline, she's not going to give it to you. You really do have to earn it and win it till the very last point. I'm just very happy I was able to keep that pressure on."
"Doesn't matter how you arrive to the second week. If you are not injured, the most important thing is be there. I did. I won three great matches. Especially this last one is a very important one for me. I hope to be ready. As I say before, my body was good during the whole match. Let's see how I wake up tomorrow. But I believe that I'm going to be fine."
"It was much about me still. She was the one who was more aggressive today, going for the shots. She was playing really fast, really well, I think. Also deserved to win. But unlucky in the end for her."
"Well, to be honest, I was really concerned about how I was going to feel on that center court. I was a bit nervous. I was telling my coaches, God, I feel like I'm playing first round all over again, like the same nerves. Yeah, I was probably thinking too much of what happened last year. I don't think it was actually a good thing for me. But in the end I managed to not do what I did last year."
