Jose Reyes pats teammate David Wright on the back after a 4-3 victory over the Phillies on Saturday. Wright signed a six-year, $55 million contract extension with the Mets on Sunday, just three days after Reyes signed a four-year, $23.25 million extension with a club option for a fifth year.

Bobby Abreu went 10 for 25 in his first week with the Yankees, batting .400 with an RBI, four runs, two walks and two stolen bases. The Yankees won five of six games to take a two-game lead over the Red Sox in the AL East.

Greg Maddux pitched a no-hitter through six innings in his debut with the Dodgers on Thursday but was pulled due to a long rain delay in the seventh inning. Maddux got the win as the Dodgers' bullpen held the Reds scoreless in their 3-0 win.

The Marlins' Alfredo Amezaga slides under Dodgers second baseman Julio Lugo after being forced out in the ninth inning on Saturday. The Dodgers have a six-game winning streak since acquiring Lugo from the Devil Rays.

Phillies center fielder Aaron Rowand climbs the wall but fails to reach a home run ball hit by Chris Duncan, which scored two for the Cardinals in the second inning on Aug. 2. Rowand would later respond with a solo shot in the fifth as the Phillies routed the Cardinals 16-8.

The Cubs' Ryan Theriot is safe stealing second ahead of the throw to Orlando Hudson in the first inning of Game 2 of a doubleheader with the Diamondbacks on Aug. 3. The Cubs managed to steal the second game 7-3 after losing the first 10-2.
