LAS VEGAS (AP) Jiaqi Zheng won her first USA Table Tennis National Championship women's singles title Saturday night, beating Yue Wu in six games at the Brooklyn Bowl concert hall.

Zheng, from Milpitas, California, edged Wu, from Fort Lee, New Jersey, 4-11, 13-11, 6-11, 14-12, 11-8, 11-6.

''I still can't believe that I won it,'' Zheng said. ''I was so nervous about it. At the end it was all about being mentally strong.''

The victory moved Zheng one step closer to the 2016 Olympics by qualifying her for the 2016 North American Olympic Trials in Toronto in April, the last stop in the qualifying process. Wu claimed the first Olympic team spot by winning the Pan American singles title in July.

Yijun Feng of Atlanta won his first men's singles crown by blanking seventh-seeded Mark Hazinski of Plano, Texas, 11-3, 11-4, 12-10, 11-7. The 18-year-old Feng also qualified for the North American Olympic Trials tournament.
