Brittney Griner has first dunk in WNBA playoff history
Brittney Griner made history Sunday, becoming the first woman to dunk in a WNBA playoff game.
Griner cut off a pass and dribbled down the court for a breakaway two-handed slam.
It was Griner's fifth-career dunk.
Griner had a team-high 21 points to help her Phoenix Mercury defeat the Los Angeles Sparks in the Western Conference semifinals. They advance to take on the Minnesota Lynx in the conference finals.
In the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream will play Tuesday, with the winner advancing to take on the Indiana Fever in the conference finals.
