LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles Sparks have re-signed center Jantel Lavender.

She averaged career highs of 11.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while starting a career-high 27 games last season. Lavender had four double-doubles.

She heads into this season with a streak of 106 straight games played, and she ranks second in franchise history with a .513 field goal percentage.

Lavender was selected fifth overall out of Ohio State by the Sparks in the 2011 WNBA draft. She has played an increasingly bigger role in each of her four seasons with the team.

The move was announced Wednesday.
