Hill hits 7 of 8 FTs down the stretch, Mystics beat Wings

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Tayler Hill made 7 of 8 free throws in the final 2:09 and had 25 points to help the Washington Mystics beat the Dallas Wings 88-83 on Sunday.

Odyssey Sims made a pull-up jumper to pull Dallas to 84-81 with 49.5 seconds left. After Washington was whistled for a charge, Skylar Diggins hit a runner in the lane to make it 84-83. But Hill sank two free throws with 15.7 seconds left for a three-point lead, and LaToya Sanders blocked Sims' 3-pointer. Hill sealed it at the line.

Hill was 6 of 15 from the field and 9 of 10 from the stripe for Washington (11-17). Kia Vaugh added 17 points.

Vaughn made a hook in the lane with 6:14 remaining in fourth to give Washington a 70-69 lead - its first since 1:14 left in the second.

Diggins finished with 25 points and Aerial Powers had 21 points and 10 rebounds - both career highs - for Dallas (9-21). The Wings have lost 11 straight.

Glory Johnson, who has eight double-doubles this season, left with an apparent injury and did not return for the Wings. She drove the lane late in the first quarter and slipped on the floor. She was helped to her feet and walked off the court under her own power. She later sat at the end of the Wings bench with crutches by her side.
