Tom Brady Becomes Part Owner of WNBA’s Aces

Seven-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady has become part-owner of the defending champion Las Vegas Aces of the WNBA, it was announced on Wednesday.

The Aces said that that Brady was first introduced to the team while in attendance for the team’s home win over the Connecticut Sun in May of 2022.

“I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization,” Brady said in the team’s statement. “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sisters’ games—They were by far the best athletes in our house! We celebrated their accomplishments together as a family, and they remain a great inspiration to me.”

It is clear that Brady is excited to contribute in the WNBA’s mission of continued growth as a part of one of the most successful organizations in the league in recent years. Las Vegas, who won its first WNBA title in franchise history in 2022, has compiled an impressive 50–18 (.735) record over the last two seasons.

“I have always been a huge fan of women’s sports, and I admire the work that the Aces’ players, staff, and the WNBA continue to do to grow the sport and empower future generations of athletes,” Brady said. “To be able to contribute in any way to that mission as a member of the Aces organization is an incredible honor.”

Las Vegas, who added Candace Parker in free agency, is the betting favorite (+120) to repeat as champions in 2023.

Brady’s purchase is subject to WNBA approval, per the team statement.
