Fans Loved Tom Brady’s Getting Another Ring from Aces’ WNBA Championship

Kudos to the Las Vegas Aces for winning the WNBA championship Wednesday night in Brooklyn. The team won its second consecutive league title, and A’ja Wilson shined, winning Finals MVP.

Yet some fans were happy for Tom Brady following the Aces’ big win. Why is the retired NFL star in this conversation? Does he somehow have to be a topic in every sports discussion? This is basketball, not football.

However, the Aces’ success does affect Brady. For those who didn’t know, the seven-time Super Bowl champion became a part owner of the team earlier this year, joining Mark Davis’s ownership group.

As several fans pointed out, owning a stake in the Aces means Brady gets to add to his championship ring collection.

For those counting, that is now eight championship rings for the legendary quarterback. Brady had a direct role in winning seven of those rings. This time around, he was a spectator.

But Brady continues to have a golden touch in sports. Davis hopes some of that aura rubs off on the Raiders, having offered the star an ownership stake in the team. That process recently has stalled but is expected to be approved eventually. When that happens, more dancing celebrations may come for Brady and Davis.
