Booker T Names Rising WWE Friday Night SmackDown Star Who is Ready for World Title

Booker T is all in on one rising WWE Friday Night SmackDown superstar.

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes one rising talent on the Friday Night SmackDown brand already has the tools and the right mindset to win a world championship.

It's not often that a young wrestler exceeds expectations at such a rate that they're thrown to the wolves quickly. It has happened in the past with the likes of Bianca Belair, who emerged as a top babyface on WWE's main roster in short order. With that said, it's the exception, not the rule.

In the case of one WWE SmackDown superstar, who was called up from NXT earlier this year, Booker T believes this talent is already world title material.

As far as Booker is concerned, it's "Tiffy Time." During an episode of his "Hall of Fame" podcast, Booker T told Brad Gilmore that he feels Tiffany Stratton can be a WWE world champion today.

Tiffany Stratton hits the ring for her match on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

"If Tiffany won the championship she would be the fastest rising champion in the history of the business to win a major title like that," Booker T said. "The thing is I think she's ready for it, I really do. I think you could pull the trigger with Tiffany Stratton right now and you will not regret it. I really believe that."

Gilmore asked Booker to explain why he feels Stratton is already at that main event level.

"Just watching her maturity in NXT, I read one of her quotes that she didn't want to leave NXT too soon," Booker continued. "She wanted to make sure she had all of her ducks in a row. She wanted to make sure she was prepared for that moment when she did get to the main roster. Just saying that from a young person perspective let me know a whole lot about her. Coming from her background not being a wrestling fan per say, and not being a wrestling fanatic per say, and then to find herself in the business being able to do it so well it just let's me know that her brain is thinking totally different than a lot of individuals in this business."

Tiffany Stratton has already inserted herself in the WWE Women's Championship picture. She recently interfered in a title match between champion Bayley and Naomi to end the April 19, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

If WWE does indeed plan to give Stratton a run with the title now, Booker T is in favor of the move.

"She's got everything, she's the total package right now."
