WWE News: Major WrestleMania Change Reportedly Being Discussed Amid Concerns

WWE's most successful annual show, WrestleMania, may soon be undergoing a welcome change.

A colossal change could be coming to WWE WrestleMania in the future.

WrestleMania is WWE's biggest annual show. More recently, WrestleMania 40 shattered the WrestleMania 39 attendance record. Over two nights, 145,278 fans packed Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA to witness history. WWE's YouTube channel also broke a viewership record on WrestleMania XL Sunday, garnering a whopping 67 million views.

While WrestleMania 40 was a massive success, there was one significant complaint that fans had, which could lead to a big change going forward.

During Sports Business Journal’s World Congress of Sports conference, WWE President Nick Khan hinted at WrestleMania 41 taking place later than usual amid complaints from fans that the weather during WrestleMania Saturday was simply too cold for an outdoor stadium show. Khan noted that he does not want WrestleMania going head-to-head with the Final Four again, and that Las Vegas is a potential landing spot for WWE's biggest show in 2025,

In a follow-up, Fightful is now reporting that the idea of WrestleMania taking place in May rather than the end of March or April has been discussed internally. While this doesn't confirm that WrestleMania will indeed be making the move to May, it might just make sense. WWE would be moving away from stiff competition and if a return to an outdoor stadium on the East Coast is in the cards down the road, it could be an ideal month for warmer weather.

Recently, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported that another bid could be placed by Philadelphia in the future for WrestleMania given the success of the two-night event earlier this month.
