WWE Raw Free Live Stream Results: Two Huge Title Matches, Major Return Set

Two huge title matches and a big return are set for the April 22, 2024 episode of WWE Raw.

The final episode of Monday Night Raw before the WWE Draft 2024 is here.

Tonight's show features a major world title match. The vacant WWE Women's World Championship will be at stake in a battle royal. High-profile names such as Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan will be competing for the gold.

That won't be the only title match fans will get to witness on the red brand this evening. In their first defense as WWE World Tag Team Champions, R-Truth and The Miz will take on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa of DIY.

There will also be the return of a massive superstar who hasn't been seen since WrestleMania 40.

GUNTHER, who recently saw his record-breaking Intercontinental Championship run come to an end at the hands of Sami Zayn, will be back on WWE Raw tonight. What will be next for "The Ring General" after the end of his historic title reign?

For weeks, Ricochet has been a thorn in the side of The Judgment Day. Andrade has also been getting the better of the faction. It leads to a tag team match that will see Ricochet and Andrade team up to face Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh.

Plus, what will be the fallout after Chad Gable turned his back on Sami Zayn last week? After falling short in his Intercontinental title match against Zayn, Gable hit a German suplex on Sami right in front of his wife. He also sunk in the Ankle Lock as officials were trying to pry him off Zayn.

WWE Raw Results (April 22, 2024)

Raw commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee were in the ring at the start of the show. They cut to a video package showing what led to tonight's battle royal for the WWE Women's World Championship.

Liv Morgan was then shown entering the arena as was Becky Lynch.

Jey Uso made his entrance.

As he was cutting a promo, he was interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. Damian complimented Jey and reminded him of one night where Uso whooped him so bad that he told him backstage that he earned all his respect and that he wanted him in The Judgment Day. He claimed he was proud to stand in the ring with Jey.

The pleasantries stopped when Damian said it was his time, not theirs. Jey questioned if Priest saw him as just another tag team guy. He said the only reason he leads The Judgment Day is because Rhea Ripley is injured. He also called him Dominik Mysterio's b****. He vowed to be the next World Heavyweight Champion.

JD McDonagh tried attacking Jey, but Damian seemingly tried to stop him. Jey went to superkick JD, but he moved and Priest ended up being hit. Damian was none too pleased with McDonagh.

Chad Gable was shown arriving to the building, as was GUNTHER.

Awesome Truth (c) vs. DIY - for the WWE World Tag Team Championship

Truth had some armdrags that caught Gargano off guard. Awesome Truth double teamed Gargano with elbow drops. The Miz went for a Figure Four on Gargano, but he escaped and tagged in Ciampa.

Gargano hit Miz with a slingshot spear. Ciampa's left knee appeared to be injured going into the break. We'll see if it's legit or if he's selling.

The Miz went for a springboard move, but he ate a shin from Ciampa. Truth was tagged in and began the John Cena combo on Ciampa. Gargano stopped Truth with a massive superkick. Ciampa hit the Pedigree on Truth, but couldn't seal the deal.

DIY hit Meet in the Middle, but Miz pulled Gargano to the outside during the pin. The Truth Crushing Finale landed on Gargano in the ring and that's a wrap.

Winners: Awesome Truth

Gargano embraced Awesome Truth after the match, but Ciampa did not.

Priest was irate at JD McDonagh backstage. Dom showed up in an arm sling with Santos Escobar. He said he can't be a part of tonight's scheduled tag team match with JD, so he brought Santos to return the favor he paid him at WrestleMania 40. Priest told Dom and JD to handle business and stay out of his.

GUNTHER and the rest of Imperium made their way to the ring.

GUNTHER said he elevated the Intercontinental Championship to heights never seen before. He said "thank you" to Sami Zayn because now he's the hunter. He said he declared his participation in the King of the Ring tournament and after that, it's up to him to decide which championship to go after.

The New Day then made their way out. Xavier Woods said he's the reigning, defending, King of the Ring. That makes GUNTHER a usurper to his throne. GUNTHER said Woods will be remembered as the guy who pretended to be a champion. Woods and Kofi Kingston sang where's GUNTHER's gold at.

GUNTHER called for Imperium to handle The New Day. We're getting a tag team match after the break.

Piper Niven and Chelsea Green arrived to the arena, and cameras showed Nia Jax's arrival as well.

The New Day vs. Imperium

GUNTHER took a seat at ringside to watch the match. Kofi hit a crossbody on Vinci. Kaiser was tagged in and Imperium landed a double team dropkicks. GUNTHER gave his stablemates advice from his chair. Kaiser hit Kofi with a big lariat before knocking Woods off the ring apron going into the break.

Kofi and Woods ended up double teaming Vinci for the win.

Winners: The New Day

After the match, GUNTHER was fuming, throwing his chair at the barricade. He gave Kaiser an intense look. Kaiser ended up attacking Vinci, dropkicking his head into the ring steps. Backstage, GUNTHER was quite pleased with Kaiser.

Drew McIntyre did the CM Punk sit. He questioned why the fans insist on chanting CM Punk's name every time he is in the ring. He claims Punk hates the fans and himself.

McIntyre said the fans only know a complex relationship if it's with their right hand. He said he wasn't going to complain about CM Punk costing him the World Heavyweight Championship. As Drew was declaring himself for the King of the Ring, he was interrupted by Sheamus.

"The Celtic Warrior" said Drew doesn't take ownership of his own mistakes. He said Drew got his moment at WrestleMania 40 and he blew it by going after Punk. He said Drew threw it all away for a meme and a t-shirt.

Sheamus said a one-armed Punk whooped his ass.

Sheamus said Drew has got to get this obsession out of his head. Drew said since Sheamus has returned it hasn't been banger after banger, it's been burger after burger. Sheamus said he can lose weight, but Drew can't lose stupid.

Drew said this conversation with Sheamus isn't worthwhile. He said he's gonna watch his friend's back for his next match.

Sheamus vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Sheamus hit a forearm on Nakamura from the ring apron. He went up the top turnbuckle, but Shinsuke cut him off and hit a knee. Nakamura ate a double axe handle. Sheamus hit 10 Beats of the BodhrΓ‘n before blasting his opponent with the Kneecap. Nakamura got back in it with a flying knee off the barricade going into the break.

Sheamus went for White Noise off the middle rope and he got it, but "The King of Strong Style" kicked out. Nakamura countered the Brogue Kick, but Sheamus popped him with a knee to the jaw.

Sheamus went for the Celtic Cross, but ate a knee. Shinsuke ran into the Brogue Kick and score the pinfall.

Winner: Sheamus

Sami Zayn was interviewed by Cathy Kelley. He said he's hurt by Gable's heel turn last week. Bronson Reed said Sami has bigger problems to worry about. Sami said Reed can get a title shot any time, anywhere. Reed then nailed Sami with two cheap shots before officials broke things up.

Gable was out with Alpha Academy. He said he's been training losers. He said Tozawa is a joke and racks up loss after loss. He said Maxxine Dupri is dumb as a box of rocks.

Gable then turned to Otis and said he's been the biggest disappointment of them all. He said he's being honest and that Alpha Academy needs to help him win the IC title. He demanded Otis vow to help him win the Intercontinental Championship. Otis reluctantly obliged.

Ricochet was warming up backstage. Dom annoyed Ricochet before the speedster walked off. Liv Morgan and Dom then ran into each other without saying any words.

Nia Jax vowed to win the Women's World Championship tonight.

Ricochet & Andrade vs. Santos Escobar & JD McDonagh

Andrade and Ricochet had double team leapfrogs, elbows, and dropkicks on Santos. Fans let Dominik, who was at ringside, know that he sucks. He then got "shave your mustache" chants. Dom interfered at one point to give Santos and JD the edge.

Ricochet fought off both Santos and JD before tagging in Andrade. Double knees in the corner from Andrade to Escobar, but he only got a two-count.

Ricochet and Santos collided with double crossbody moves. Andrade and JD were tagged in. Ricochet went for a springboard move, but Santos kicked midair.

Santos hit a hurricanrana on Ricochet into JD. Andrade hit The Shadow for the three.

Winners: Ricochet & Andrade

After the match, Priest took out Ricochet and Andrade. He hit Ricochet with Razor's Edge and Andrade with South of Heaven. Priest then told Dom and JD that he doesn't need them, but they need him.

A vignette for Zoey Stark played.

Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell were interviewed by Jackie Redmond before there was a major commotion. Liv Morgan and Nia Jax had to be separated. Becky Lynch then popped out and took the mic from Jackie. She then looked at Maxxine and gave her strong advice to make the most of her opportunity in the battle royal for the Women's World Championship.

Battle Royal Match - for the WWE Women's World Championship

Half of the women in the battle royal went after Nia Jax, the other half attacked Piper Niven. Jax and Piper outmuscled the opposition and traded blows briefly before Becky popped Nia with a forearm. Maxxine eliminated Candice and then Indi.

Kayden Carter and Zoey Stark were on the ring apron. Shayna Baszler lifted Katana Chance onto the apron. Zoey eliminated both Carter and Chance.

Nia then lifted Ivy Nile, who went for an armbar and slammed her into the ring post for an elimination. Maxxine had a combo of strikes going on Nia before she was tossed over the top rope.

Piper Niven was eliminated by Becky Lynch. Niven dragged Becky to the outside. She threw Lynch into the ringsteps and hit a cannonball. She cleared the announce table and put Becky on it.

Piper saw Nia was going to eliminate Chelsea Green. She pulled Jax under the ring, which was a mistake as Nia gave her a Samoan Drop right onto Becky on the table.

Chelsea Green was thrown over the top rope by Natalya, but the referees were distracted by the commotion on the outside, so Chelsea avoided an elimination.

During the break, Nia Jax powerbombed Becky onto the announce table, breaking it. Natalya and Chelsea fought on the ring apron. Chelsea kicked Natalya into the post. Stark clotheslined Chelsea out of the ring. Baszler then kneed Natalya off the apron for another elimination.

Jax then eliminated Stark and Baszler. We're down to Nia, Liv, and Becky.

Nia nailed Becky and Liv with Samoan Drops. Liv and Becky were on the apron, but avoided being eliminated. They attempted to double team Nia for a suplex, but Jax suplexed them simultaneously.

Nia dragged Becky and Liv for the Eradicator, but she was sent to the ring apron. Becky and Liv double teamed Nia to eliminate her.

Becky went to suplex Liv on the ring apron, but couldn't get it. She then went for a German suplex, but Liv fought her off. She hit the Codebreaker. Liv went for Oblivion, but was caught in the Manhandle Slam and fell to the floor.

Becky Lynch is the new WWE Women's World Champion.
