A crucial episode of Friday Night SmackDown on the road to WWE Backlash 2024 takes place this evening.

Tonight, we will find out who will be the first official challenger for Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship. AJ Styles and LA Knight will compete in singles action to determine who will go on to challenge "The American Nightmare" for the top prize on the blue brand.

Who will get their shot at gold inside LDLC Arena in DΓ©cines-Charpieu in Lyon Metropolis, France on May 4th?

While the biggest SmackDown championship on the male side won't be defended on WWE TV until Backlash, we'll get to witness a Women's Championship match tonight. Titleholder Bayley will put her gold on the line against Naomi, who earned the opportunity after pinning Tiffany Stratton last week.

There will also be a huge fatal 4-way tag team match with title implications. During WrestleMania 40, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were able to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Tonight, they will learn who their first challengers will be. The Street Profits, Authors of Pain, New Catch Republic, and the team of Angel and Berto of Legado Del Fantasma will do battle for a shot at A-Town Down Under.

Fans have been wondering what the fallout will be after a clear sign of mutiny within The Bloodline was on display last Friday. What will the follow-up be after Solo Sikoa turned his back on Jimmy Uso by enlisting the help of Tama Tonga to take out his brother?

Friday Night SmackDown will begin at 8 p.m. ET. Keep refreshing this page for live results and video highlights as the night rolls along.
