UNC forward Kennedy Meeks will miss at least two weeks due to a bruised left knee, the team announced Monday.

Meeks, who originally sprained his left knee during the 2015 NCAA tournament against Wisconsin, missed multiple days of preseason practice with the injury.

This season, Meeks is averaging 12.3 points and 7.4 rebounds, while shooting 59.5% through nine games. He scored a season-high 25 points with 11 rebounds against Temple in his team’s season-opening 91–67 win.

Over the next two weeks, the Tar Heels will face Tulane, UCLA, Appalachian State and UNC Greensboro.

No. 11 UNC (7–2) next plays against Tulane (5–4) on Wednesday at the Dean E. Smith Center.

• DAVIS: No reason ever to rush the court

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
