Legendary Indiana basketball coach Bobby Knight endorsed presidential hopeful Donald Trump at a rally in Indiana on Wednesday ahead of next week’s primary.

“You folks are taking a look at the most prepared man in history to step in as president of the United States,” Knight said to the crowd as he began to speak.

“There has never been a presidential candidate prepared to the length that this man is ... I think the most important thing in the world is that we vote for the best man for the job, and you’ve already met him.”

Knight’s 902 wins are No. 2 all-time for Division I men’s basketball.

Trump looks to close in on the Republican presidential nomination as fellow candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich announced plans to unite to prevent Trump from reaching the number of delegates to clinch the nomination. Trump holds a six-point lead in Indiana polls, according to RealClearPolitics.
