Star wide receiver Devin Funchess is among several Michigan starters who will not play in Saturday's game against Miami (OH).

Wolverines coach Brady Hoke said Monday that Funchess, who injured his right leg in last Saturday's loss to Notre Dame, was "fine." The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder leads Michigan with 16 receptions, 202 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns this season.

The other three starters sitting out are starting defensive backs Raymon Taylor and Jarrod Wilson and linebacker Desmond Morgan. Morgan was seen wearing a cast on his right arm last week, and Taylor hurt his knee against Notre Dame. It is unclear why Wilson is not playing.

Freshman defensive back Jabrill Peppers, who injured his ankle in the season opener against Appalachian State and did not play against Notre Dame, will play in Saturday's game.
