Virginia Tech running back Marshawn Williams sustained a left knee sprain during Saturday's loss against Duke. He will undergo an MRI when the team returns to Blacksburg.

Williams has already faced injury trouble this year. The freshman back sprained his ankle in the Hokies' Oct. 4 road win over North Carolina, forcing him to sit the following week against Pittsburgh.

“I think I’m 100 (percent) now,” Williams told The Richmond Times Dispatch, prior to the team's loss to Duke, regarding his ankle sprain. “Maybe not so much 100 two weeks ago, but enough. But I’m ready to go this week.”

This season, Williams has rushed for 469 yards and four touchdowns on 119 attempts.

The Hokies are 5-5 on the season.
