Quarterback Connor Brewer announced on Thursday that he is transferring to Northern Arizona.

Brewer signed with Texas as a four-star recruit in the class of 2012. He redshirted in his first year with the Longhorns and elected to transfer to Arizona in July 2013.

Brewer sat out that season and did not throw a pass in 2014 while serving as a reserve behind starter Anu Solomon. In January, Brewer was granted a release to transfer to another program.

Brewer, a native of Scottsdale, Ariz., has two years of eligibility remaining.

"After these wild few years of college, I have officially decided that my last stop will be at Northern Arizona University," Brewer wrote on Instagram on Thursday. "I will pursue my graduate degree and have two more years of football to play. I am excited to get on the field again and to finally show people what I am capable of."

Northern Arizona, a member of the Big Sky conference, finished 7-5 last season.
