In last year's meeting between the two teams, Oregon put together a 46-27 victory over Michigan State after outscoring the Spartans 28-3 in the second half of the game.
Michigan State kicked off the year with a 37–24 victory over Western Michigan on Saturday. Quarterback Connor Cook went 15-of-31 passing for 256 yards. The Spartans' rushing game will be much better against Oregon with a healthy Madre London and freshman LJ Scott. Last year, Jeremy Langford played against the Ducks after coming off a sprained ankle injury.
The Ducks will need to hold it down on defense after surrendering 42 points to Eastern Washington in Week 1. The offense, led by quarterback Vernon Adams, did its part by posting 61 points in the victory. Adams finished the night with 246 passing yards and two touchdown passes to go along with 14 carries for 94 yards.
