Texas linebacker Dalton Santos has decided to transfer for his final year of eligibility, he announced on Twitter.

Santos thanked former Longhorns coach Mack Brown and current coach Charlie Strong in his message.

The 6'3", 252-pound linebacker received a medical redshirt last season after undergoing surgery on his ankle.

Over 10 games in 2014, Santos recorded 12 total tackles and two quarterback hurries.

The Longhorns open their season against Notre Dame at home on Sept. 4.
