The tide in the historic rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State may be turning again in the favor of the talented Wolverines.

Even though the Spartans have won seven of the last eight meetings with the Wolverines, second-ranked Michigan comes into the 109th meeting on Saturday between the schools as a three-touchdown favorite.

Michigan has been absolutely dominant in its first seven games, leading the nation in scoring defense and total defense, and has won games by an average of 38 points.

The Spartans have fallen off the map, just a season after making the College Football Playoff. Michigan State has lost five straight games, four of those by double digits.

Michigan leads the all-time series 68–35-5 despite having lost three in a row to the Spartans.
