In an unforgettable ceremony following his Game 7 save, Madison Bumgarner received a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Unfortunately for Bumgarner and Chevy, that car was recalled earlier this month due to an airbag flaw.
The Los Angeles Times reports that General Motors ordered dealers to stop selling the cars at the beginning of the month because faulty wiring that could "cause the driver airbags not to function as designed."
The problem can be fixed with reprogramming of the truck's diagnostic computer, so hopefully that was done to the model given to the Giants ace.
It is very unlikely that Bumgarner's first order of business after winning the World Series would be to drive from Kansas City to San Francisco though, so GM has a little time to get the auto fixed before anyone jumps behind the wheel.
