Chicago White Sox drive cars onto field at home opener

Who says the drive to the postseason can't start in April?
The Chicago White Sox rolled onto the diamond at U.S. Cellular Field Friday for their home opener in an array of Ford vehicles.
It looks like reigning AL rookie of the year Jose Abreu got his own truck.

The players had fun with it.
Ha! Zach Duke leaps over the side of his pick up truck. Meanwhile, Sale sticks the step-out landing to the cheers of the fans.

This apparently should not have been a surprise, as the team tipped its hand well in advance, but the "Ford Drive Around" appeared to serve its purpose: surprise a lot of people. The team also honored the late Chicago baseball legends Ernie Banks and Minnie Minoso pre-game.
Plus, Jose Contreras emerged from who-knows-where to throw out the first pitch. The Sox' 2005 title seems like yesterday...
