John Stewart, Wrestling Star

Courtesy of WWE

Jon Stewart is officially a bad guy. The retired Daily Show host "turned heel" by attacking John Cena with a steel chair, allowing Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Championship. In the main event, The Undertaker scored a controversial victory over Brock Lesnar, which will likely lead to a rematch at Wrestlemania in March. Other items of interest: Nicki Bella wore custom Nike sneakers during her match, actor Stephen Amell had a respectable performance in his pro wrestling debut and fake tickets were all over the place in Brooklyn.

Michael Jordan Gets More Money

Michael Jordan is $8.9 million richer after winning a lawsuit against a grocery store chain for the unapproved and unlicensed use of his name in a magazine advertisement. The ad, created by a grocery store chain Dominick's (now owned by Safeway), appeared in a 2009 Sports Illustrated commemorative issue and offered customers a whopping $2 off Rancher's Reserve Steak. Safeway's lawyers argued that they should pay $126,900 for the use of his name, but a sports economist testified that the fair market value for the advertisement would be $10 million. The best part of the story: Only two people used the actual $2 off coupon (and the fact that Jordan is giving the money to charity) .

Lovely Lady of the Day

I'm still not sure why model Lauren Layne isn't a household name yet, but maybe an appearance in Hot Clicks will help the cause. She earns LLOD honors (click here for full-size gallery).

Priorities

Patriots fan Barbara Shippee passed away last week at 74 and made a unique final request. Her obituary stated that she would like friends and loved ones to make memorial donations to “Tom Brady’s Deflategate Defense” in lieu of flowers.
