Patrick Peterson's wife will name their daughter Peyton after her favorite quarterback.

Patrick Peterson's wife Antonique is due to have a baby girl in November. And Antonique plans to name the girl Peyton after her favorite quarterback, reports AZCentral's Kent Somers.

Peyton is a lovely name for a girl! It probably beats out other options like Eli, Ben, Tom, Russell or Tony.

It's no surprise Antonique would choose Peyton as the name or her favorite quarterback. It's not like the Cardinals have given her many options.

Since Peterson joined the team in 2011, Arizona has started Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley, Brian Hoyer, Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton at quarterback.

I guess you could make a case for Carson? But you don't want that baby tearing an ACL.

As for Peterson, he shouldn't really have any objections to the name Peyton. It's not like his wife chose Darrelle or Richard.
