Peyton Manning served as the inspiration for a beer called ‘Oatmaha’
A love of Peyton Manning has brought together breweries in Indianapolis and Denver to create a new beer inspired by the quarterback and named after his favorite audible.
“Oatmaha” comes from Indianapolis’s Tow Yard Brewing and Denver’s Factotum brew house, though the beer makers were careful to avoid naming the seven-time All-Pro.
Factotum Brewhouse (Denver) and Tow Yard Brewing Co. (Indianapolis) today announced they will be collaborating on a beer that honors the professional quarterback significant to both cities. ... The brewers know from a January, 2014 post-game press conference that said athlete enjoys light, domestic lagers so, to keep in accordance with his palate, this collaborative beer will be a light and easy-drinking pale ale—but with a few twists.
The Denver Post reports the brewers will get together to make the first batch of Oatmaha this weekend in advance of Manning’s return to Indianapolis as the Broncos face the Colts on Sunday.
