Maple Leafs, Stars invoke Blue Jays-Rangers ALDS in Twitter battle

The Stars hosted the Maple Leafs on Tuesday night, and the team used both the Jumbotron and Twitter to give Toronto fans some guff, referring back to an incident during the ALDS in which an angry Blue Jays fans threw a beer that ended up splashing onto a baby.

While the Dallas jab was clever, the team seems to have forgotten who walked away from the Toronto-Texas ALDS victorious, and the Maple Leafs Twitter account was happy to remind them, using the instantly iconic bat flip photo from Jose Bautista’s three-run home run against the Rangers.
