When the Knicks drafted Kristaps Porzingis with the fourth pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the fans in attendance in Brooklyn were not happy, with boos reigning down and one young fan brought to tears at the prospect of rooting for the 7'3" Latvian.

Porzingis has turned public opinion around one putback dunk at a time, even meeting with the crying fan last week. Now it appears the two have struck up a full blown friendship as the center posted a photo of himself with the boy before a recent game.

Everyone wins in this situation. Porzingis gets a new friend in New York and the child learns an important lesson about not judging European big men.
