Carmelo Anthony, Derek Jeter, A-Rod walk the red carpet at Met Gala

For once, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Carmelo Anthony aren’t the biggest celebrities in the room. 

All three New York sports icons attended the Met Gala on Monday night and strutted their stuff on the red carpet. 

The theme of this year’s event was “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology” (which is why Will.I.Am wore a hat with a welding mask) but Jeter, A-Rod and Melo didn’t take too many risks with their outfits. 

Rodriguez attended the event with his girlfriend, Anne Wojcicki, the ex-wife of Google founder Sergey Brin.

Melo wore a tuxedo with a 3D-printed bow tie, while his wife Lala wore a sparkling red dress. He also posed for a star-studded photo with Future, Nas, Wiz Khalifa and Odell Beckham.
