Dez Bryant has tragically given away his pet monkey

Dez Bryant has given his pet monkey to a friend, marking the sad end of an 11-month friendship.

Dez Bryant’s pet monkey now has a new owner.

After owning a small monkey named “Dallas” for nearly 11 months, the Cowboys wideout has passed the little guy on to one of his friends.

In an interview with KTCK-AM 1310 The Ticket, Bryant revealed the sad news, but did say he will get to visit the monkey whenever he wants to.

“He was one of us, the monkey was one of us,” Bryant said. “He got pure-A1 treatment.”

After announcing to the world that he was the proud owner of Dallas last fall, Bryant was investigated by PETA for “possible illegal possession” of the animal.

Obviously, Bryant was found to be legally possessing the monkey.
