Bill Murray to sing during seventh inning stretch at World Series Game 3

Bill Murray will sing the seventh inning stretch during Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field.

Noted Cubs superfan Bill Murray will sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch Friday night at Wrigley Field for Game 3 of the World Series.

Murray, a Chicago-area native, has never been shy about his baseball allegiance, and seems to be relishing in the Cubs' World Series run this fall. The actor and comedian has appeared at other Cubs games this postseason, including Game 6 of the NLCS when the Cubs won their first NL pennant since 1945.

Last week, Murray dressed in full Cubs attire and crashed a White House press briefing to talk about his team.

Fall Out Boy lead singer Patrick Stump, who is also from suburban Chicago, will sing the national anthem before Game 3. Cubs legend and baseball Hall of Famer Billy Williams is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.  That's an all-star celebrity lineup for Wrigley Field's first World Series game in 71 years.

Hopefully no one confuses Bill Murray with Tom Hanks.
