Creator won the Belmont Stakes in a thrilling photo finish on Saturday.
Destin finished second, leading for much of the way until Creator passed the horse on the outside down the stretch. Lani had a late charge to finish third.
Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist missed the race due to an illness, opening up the field heading into the Belmont.
Exaggerator, which won the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore three weeks ago. entered the race as a 6–5 favorite. He faded badly in the stretch and finished 11th in the 13-horse field. Suddenbreakingnews and Stradivari were the next two highest horses on the odds list. You can watch the finish here:
