Christmas has come early. Paul Lukas, of the Uni Watch blog and a writer for ESPN.com, reported this year's 2015 Christmas Day jersey designs for 27 NBA teams on Wednesday. Lukas noted he did not leak the proposed jerseys for the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks to prevent revealing any inkling of information regarding the three teams' impending new uniforms for the 2015-16 season.

As Lukas notes, the most obvious aspect of these jerseys is the absence of any gimmick. In years past, the NBA has experimented with everything from sleeved jerseys to this past Christmas' first name jerseys. The designs received widespread approval on social media for their general cleanness and vintage-looking color schemes. Unfortunately, since the NBA has yet to release the 2015-16 schedule, it is unknown which teams will actually get to don these jerseys on the hardwood.

A unique aspect of the jerseys is the usage of a cream color instead of the modern white. "The heavy use of cream is meant to evoke a feeling of parchment," Lukas wrote. On the universal cursive font for each team's name, Lukas added, "The script chest insignia are meant to evoke the feel of the fancy script on a Christmas card."

Each team's jerseys follow a pretty similar model. The Atlanta Hawks uniform stands out amongst the rest, featuring a zig-zagging fabric that's reminiscent of a snake skin. Lukas notes the Hawks have a new regular season uniform "in the pipeline" as well, and their Christmas jersey might be good indicator of some changes to expect.
