Aging Golden State Warriors superstar power forward Draymond Green has been ruled out for his team's clash against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

Per the league's latest injury report, the four-time All-Star will sit as he deals with a back injury in his left L5-s1 disc.

Green did suit up yesterday, for an eventual 107-104 win over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. The 34-year-old vet had a fairly pedestrian state line of seven points on 3-of-9 shooting from the floor and 1-of-2 shooting from the foul line, five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and a steal in 32:04 of action.

On the season, the 2017 Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 8.7 points on .417/.362/.615 shooting splits (he's been a solid 3-point shooter for each of the last two seasons, shockingly), 6.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals in 28.6 minutes a night.

Green isn't the only major future Hall of Fame absence on the Warriors' injury report. Two-time league MVP Stephen Curry will also sit out, one day after his miserable shooting night against the Pistons, with what the team is calling bilateral knee injury management.

In that Detroit bout, Curry scored 17 points on 5-of-21 shooting from the field (2-of-14 from beyond the 3-point arc) and 5-of-5 shooting from the charity stripe.

In fact, several critical Warriors players are slated to sit out on Friday. One-time All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins (personal reasons), former 2022 champs Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain) and Gary Payton II (left cal strain), and 2024 All-Rookie Team guard Brandin Podziesmki (right abdominal injury management) are all on the shelf.

All-NBA Pacers forward Tyrese Haliburton, meanwhile, is questionable to play as he grapples with a sprained right ankle.

3-and-D Pacers starting center Myles Turner, who sat out Wednesday's victory against the Chicago Bulls, is also questionable with an illness. Thomas Bryant proved a capable sub for Turner, in that 129-113 home win (improving the team's record at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to 10-6 on the year). The 6-foot-10 big man scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field, pulled down eight rebounds, swiped two steals and dished out one dime.
