One player went straight to the deck; the other went straight to the showers.

Sacramento Kings forward Thomas Robinson was ejected during the fourth quarter of a Wednesday night game against the Detroit Pistons for intentionally throwing an elbow to the throat of Jonas Jerebko. The foul, deemed a flagrant foul two, occurred with just less than 10 minutes remaining.

The two players got tangled up after Kings guard Jimmer Fredette fed Chuck Hayes in the post. Robinson appeared to swing back to get Jerebko off of him initially, and Jerebko responded by wrapping his arms around Robinson's waist, as the Kings rookie had beaten him basket-side for potential rebounding position. The ball then went out of bounds and Jerebko continued to hold Robinson, who then took a full swing of his right elbow to clear Jerebko off of his back. Jerebko went straight to the floor, holding his neck in pain.

Robinson, who departed the game with two points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes, could face disciplinary action, including a fine and/or suspension, from the NBA league office for the unsportsmanlike and dangerous play.

After the game, Robinson apologized on Twitter: "Apologize for my actions mistakes happen I take full responsibility lost my cool will never happen again!"
